Importance of sleep..

Sleep is not for the weak - It’s for the intelligent and I would rather go for the “Sleep is for every day of the week” – I love sleep, but I also love getting the RIGHT amount of it…

You can increase the risk of heart-attack by not sleeping enough – that explains my heart palpitations on Saturday mornings after a night out and on my way to Dandenong for 3 hours of Wing Chun training.

Secondly, and this is speaking from experience and research, you NEED to be sleeping ENOUGH, not too much, no to little, and you need to be well nourished in order for your body to repair if you’re an avid bodybuilder. This should be common sense but apparently some people just don’t get it. It can also result in FAT gain..

Trying to find the right amount of sleep comes down to experimenting..

I’ve found with proper diet and nourishment (and no drinking/smoking or other bad stuff) that 7 to 7.5 hours seems perfect for me to be able to wake up full of energy and ready to go for a jog (subsequently crashing and burning 3-4 hours later.. hello coffee?)..  If my diet sucks, or I’m run down/hung-over/medically-challenged then there’s the exception to the rule where sleep > *…

I usually just aim for 8hours flat.. It’s hard to get out of bed even then.. but here’s my way of getting out of bed.. I’ll share with you my prehistoric, yet effective method.

<—————– Get yourself one of these old school alarm clocks and place it on the other side of your room.. trust me.. it’s better than any “helicopter” alarm clock fancy-ass bullshit.. it pierces the ear drums and hurts like hell, equatable to sliding down razor blades on your nutsack and landing in a pot of vinegar, chili and paprika… (not speaking from experience.. )

I’ve been lacking sleep lately, hence my reason for this post.. maybe just a reminder to be disciplined and hit the sack earlier as I know it will attribute to longer life, happier days and less yawning on the train to work which results in saliva to shoot out my mouth and landing on that hot girl sitting next to where I’m standing .. yes.. that one i was checking out..I’ve said too much..
